Evening Immunisation Session

An Immunisation Session will be held for catch up for all school students who may have missed vaccines through the school immunisation program including HPV, Whooping Cough and Meningococcal A, C, W &Y.

Other vaccines on the National Immunisation Schedule will also be available for infants and anyone that is eligible.

Annual vaccination is the most important measure to prevent influenza and it's complications. The period of peak influenza circulation is typically June to September for most parts of Australia and while protection is generally expected to last for the whole season, optimal protection against influenza occurs within the first 3 to 4 months following vaccination. It is never too late to vaccinate since influenza can circulate all year round.

The Wellington Shire council is now offering government funded vaccines to all eligible at risk people, noting that age restrictions apply. We also have stock of the influenza vaccine available for purchase to general public at a cost of $28.00 by credit card only. There is no need to book an appointment just simply present at one of our community sessions.

When: Monday 20 May, 2019 - 5.00pm to 6.00pm

Where: Wellington Shire Council Sale Service Centre, 18 Desailly Street, Sale
