Exhibition periods extended

Kempsey Shire Council

Kempsey Shire Council has announced that it is extending the public exhibition period for the South West Rocks Structure Plan and Local Growth Management Strategy by an additional 14 days.

The decision was made after initial feedback from the community indicated to Council that the documents, currently on display, were of considerable complexity and volume, and as such some community members required more time to review them.

Council's move is expected to give locals the necessary time to go through the draft documents and provide their valuable feedback on the proposals.

The extension of the public exhibition period will also allow Council to collect more comprehensive and meaningful input from the community.

The South West Rocks Structure Plan and Local Growth Management Strategy will play a crucial role in guiding the future development of the region.

The public comment period for the draft documents will now close on March 14, 2023.

Council is encouraging all community members to take advantage of the extended period to review the documents and provide feedback to help shape the future of the region.

The extension of the public exhibition period demonstrates Council's commitment to transparency and community involvement in decision-making processes.

We look forward to receiving valuable input from the community and working collaboratively with you to ensure that the South West Rocks region continues to develop in a sustainable and responsible way.
