the protagonist of Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey" - hopes. Adapted from the ancient Greek epic poem of the same title attributed to Homer, the film tells the story of Odysseus' journey home after the Trojan War and the dangerous creatures he encounters on the way, like the cyclops Polyphemus and a tribe of giant cannibals.
In this video, Penn State classics and ancient Mediterranean studies professors Anna Peterson and Laura Marshall discuss the epic poem and Hollywood's take on the literary classic.
