Expanding Exploration Investment in Territory 4 April

The Territory's premium exploration event, the Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) kicks off in Alice Springs this week, with more than 250 attendees expected.

AGES has been running for more than two decades and has attracted and supported exploration of the Northern Territory's rich resources, by providing state of the art geoscience information and data.

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to access the latest in fresh exploration ideas and geoscientific data from the Territory.

This year's conference will feature a range of talks from the NT Geological Survey (NTGS) team, along with its partners and representatives from the exploration industry.

Technical updates from the sector will also be presented on successful exploration programs and new discoveries from across the Territory for gold, base metals, battery commodities, industrial sand, shale gas and more.

Highlights include:

New insights into the subsurface geological framework and undercover exploration the Barkly region including the East Tennant region and Rover fieldUpdates on the revised understanding and minerals and petroleum potential of the Lawn Hill Platform and South Nicholson Basin in the NTNew data from MinEx CRC drilling programs in the Barkly TablelandGeology and petroleum potential of the Simpson Desert region
