Fairfield City Australia Day Events 20 January

Fairfield City residents are invited to enjoy a range of free family-friendly events this Australia Day, 26 January.

"Australia Day is a special occasion to celebrate what it means to be Australian, our way of life, our City's rich diversity, and the achievements that make our community great," said Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone.

"I encourage everyone to join in the festivities and make the most of this important day."

Australia Day Community Event and Fireworks

Includes: free kids face painting, DJ, and a fireworks finale

Collect your free Australia Day flag from Council

Council is giving away thousands of Australia Day flags to help residents celebrate Australia Day with pride.

Flags are available to collect from Fairfield City Council's Administration Centre, libraries, and leisure centres. Please collect your flag at any of the abovementioned locations and display it proudly on Australia Day.

Australia Day Community Awards

Council will host the annual Fairfield City Australia Day Community Awards at Aquatopia, Prairiewood Leisure Centre, recognising members of our community who have contributed to making Fairfield City a better place for all.

Ten residents and their families will also take the pledge to become Australian citizens during the ceremony.
