Storms have brought down a large tree in Cooma's Norris Park today, Friday 27 March 2026, with the high-side Cooma Creek Walk pathway closed between the Norris Park rotunda and toilet block until further notice.
Signs and caution tape have been placed around the fallen tree and closed pathway.
Council will schedule removal and clean up works once weather conditions have improved and the park grounds have had a chance to dry out.
The public are asked to avoid the area and use the low side Cooma Creek Walk pathway while the high side path is closed.
As a reminder to all residents and visitors, wind and rain can cause trees and tree limbs to become unstable and fall. Please be cautious and steer clear of potentially hazardous areas until the weather improves.
