Fatal bike and pedestrian incidentin Brisbane City

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal bike and pedestrian incident in Brisbane City on October 16.

Initial investigations indicate around 8:45am, a cyclist was travelling along the Bicentennial Bikeway near Queens Wharf Rd before a collision with a 72-year-old St Lucia man.

The man was initially transported to Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital in a serious condition but has since passed away from his injuries.

The cyclist, a 57-year-old Moorooka man, sustained minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
