Police are currently on scene of a collision that has claimed the life of a man in Muckatah this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a white Kenworth prime mover and trailer travelling west on Powerline Road collided with a white Nissan utility travelling south on Chapel Road about 1.30pm.
The 57 year-old driver of the Nissan died at the scene.
The male driver of the Kenworth was not injured and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
