Police are investigating following a fatal collision in Kangaroo Flat this evening.
Investigators have been told a car was travelling in the slip lane of High Street about 7.30pm when it was involved in a collision with a 14-month-old child.
The child suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital but later died.
The driver of the car, a 56-year-old man from Maiden Gully, stopped at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquires.
