Fatal Crash at Lucas Heights: Police Respond

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash at Lucas Heights.

About 3pm today (Sunday 4 June 2023), emergency services were called to Heathcote Road, Lucas Heights, following reports two cars had collided head on.

The 66-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.

His 67-year-old female passenger was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

The 33-year-old passenger of the other car was also taken to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition.

A child boy who was a passenger in the car was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Heathcote Road will remain closed for some time.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam vision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
