About 5.30am, a white Suzuki Vitara station wagon and a blue Holden Commodore station wagon were travelling in opposite directions on North West Coastal Highway when they collided head-on near the intersection of De Witt Road.
The Suzuki Vitara caught fire and the 49-year-old male driver, and 56-year-old passenger died at the scene.
The 39-year-old male driver of the Holden Commodore sustained critical injuries and was taken to hospital.
