Fatal e-scooter crash, Highgate Hill

A man has succumbed to his injuries after crashing an e-scooter on a main road in Highgate Hill last night (January 13).

The Forensic Crash Unit was called to Gladstone Road just after 8pm and the 27-year-old rider was transported to hospital, however died tonight, January 14.

Investigators will work to establish how the man sustained his injuries, however are not seeking any other vehicles of interest at this time.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been driving in the area of Gladstone Road, between 8pm and 8.30pm, and who may have dash camera footage, to contact them.

Investigations are continuing.
