A man has died in a fire in the state’s Central West, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to a property in Rodgers Street, Kandos, about 5.30am on Tuesday 25 July 2017 following reports of a fire.
A shed on the property was found well alight, with the fire extinguished by officers from Fire & Rescue NSW.
The body of a 78-year-old man was located inside.
Inquiries into the cause of the fire are continuing but it is not being considered suspicious at this time.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
