Fatal hit-run in Hampton park

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a hit-run collision this morning which claimed the life of a pedestrian in Hampton Park.

It's understood a pedestrian was on his morning walk when he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Warana Drive and Kilberry Boulevard at about 5.20am.

The pedestrian, a 73-year-old Hampton Park man, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Police are continuing to establish the exact circumstances around the collision and a crime scene is in place.
