Fatal pedestrian collision at Liverpool

A pedestrian has died following a crash in Sydney's southwest today.

About 1:40pm (Monday 13 November 2023), emergency services were called to Moore St, Liverpool following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a bus.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics and the 63-year-old man was treated; however, he died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified.

The bus driver – a 65-year-old man – and nine passengers were not injured. The driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
