Fatal pedestrian crash at Gosford

A man has died following a pedestrian crash on the state's Central Coast yesterday.

About 8.50am (Tuesday 23 November 2021), emergency services were called to Ambulance Road, Gosford, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

Police have been told a 62-year-old man fell onto the road before a Holden Trailblazer turned a corner and struck him.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Holden driver, a 29-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
