Fatal Police Involved Shooting, Narangba

A crime scene has been declared after a man was shot by police following an incident at Narangba early this morning, 24 May.

About 12.30am, police were called to a domestic violence incident at a house on Cavill Way following reports a man was armed and making threats.

The man approached officers and made threats towards police whilst armed with a firearm and as a result was shot.

Officers immediately provided first aid and commenced CPR however the man died at the scene.

No one else was injured in the incident and there is no ongoing risk to the community.

The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Investigations are ongoing.
