Fatal Traffic Crash Draws Police to East Greenmount

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating following a fatal traffic crash at East Greenmount earlier today, 14 April.

Initial investigations indicate around 6.11am, a white Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north along the New England Highway when it collided with a grey Mitsubishi Outlander travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Mitsubishi, a 38-year-old Mungindi man was declared deceased at the scene while a female passenger, a 28-year-old Mungindi woman was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Landcruiser a 41-year-old Kings Creek man was transported to Toowoomba Hospital for observation.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information, dashcam vision or witnessed the crash to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
