The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred on the Flinders Highway near Calcium yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 2:30pm a utility was travelling south along the Flinders Highway when it left the road and collided with a tree, approximately 8.5 kilometres south of the Woodstock turn-off.
The 17-year-old male driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
