Fatal traffic crash in Glenore Grove, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving two vehicles in Glenore Grove this morning, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary information suggests around 8am a car travelling southbound on Forest Hill-Fernvale Road collided with a car travelling through the intersection of Lake Clarendon Way.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 63-year-old Clarendon Woman, sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 65-year-old male front passenger of the same car received serious head injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Two girls, aged 11 and 13, who were passengers in the back of the car were transported to Ipswich Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle involved, an 82-year-old Lowood woman, sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

Investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the crash.
