Man Dies After Being Pulled From Water At Yamba

A man has died after being pulled from the water in the state's north today.

Just before 11am (Sunday 4 October 2026), officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were called to Marine Parade, Yamba, following reports of Surf Life Saving NSW locating a man's body in the water.

The man was taken to shore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 60s.

Police have commenced an investigation into the incident, and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
