Fatal Two Truck Crash At Euston

Emergency services remain at the scene of a fatal two truck crash in the state's west.

About 5.35pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 April 2025), emergency services were called to Sturt Highway, Euston, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District attended a found two trucks had collided.

One driver died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The other driver, a 29-year-old man, was assessed at the scene before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

One of the trucks was carrying insecticide, and as a result of the collision, caused a chemical spill which Fire and Rescue NSW are worked to contain and decontaminate.

A crime scene has been established and investigations commencing with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit.

The Sturt Highway is closed in both directions at the Murray Valley Hwy and motorist are urged to avoid the area. For more information visit www.livetraffic.com.
