A woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's south.
Shortly before 1.45pm today (Saturday 25 April 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hume Highway and Yass Valley Way, Manton, 10km north of Yass.
Officers from The Hume Police District attended and found a Mazda sedan had collided head on with a Ford station wagon.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the driver of the Mazda, a 37-year-old man, for chest and pelvis injuries.
He was taken to Canberra hospital in a critical condition.
A woman aged in her 30s, who was a passenger in the Mazda, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
A second passenger, a 70-year-old man, was treated by paramedics before being taken to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
A third passenger, a 69-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford and only occupant, a 32-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Canberra Hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by officers from the Southern Crash Investigation Unit.
Officers from The Hume Police District will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
