FedDev Ontario Supports Aerospace and Defence Manufacturer in Halton

$4.6 million to help Oakville company expand operations in new facility, compete in new markets and create 40 jobs

April 30, 2019 - Oakville, ON

Today, John Oliver, Member of Parliament for Oakville, announced a FedDev Ontario contribution of $4.6 million for Coordinate Industries Ltd., a leading supplier of precision machined parts, to enhance its production capabilities and expand its presence in the aerospace and defence sectors. This announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario.

With this funding, Coordinate Industries Ltd. will retrofit its new facility in Oakville with state-of-the-art, high-efficiency equipment, including robotics and automation, as well as software. This will increase production and expand the company's unique electro-mechanical assembly operations.

FedDev Ontario support will help the company will create 40 new skilled jobs in the Halton region and enhance the region's competitive position as a global supplier in the aerospace and defence sector in Canada and abroad.
