Feeling Plant‑astic On Victoria Street

Yarra City Council

The planter boxes are part of ongoing efforts to refresh and revitalise the precinct. Our team has been working closely with Yarra's Cleansing, Economic Development and Local Laws teams to not only tackle graffiti but also introduce vibrant greenery that softens the streetscape and creates a more inviting environment for locals, traders and visitors.

This program was funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, with the Victoria Street Business Association also co‑contributing to the procurement of the planter boxes.

This initiative is one of many practical, on-the-ground improvement being delivered as part of Victoria Street's revitalisation plan. Together, these small but impactful changes are building momentum toward a precinct that feels lively, cared for and connected - supporting local businesses and making Victoria Street a place people want to visit, stay and return to.

Stay tuned - there's more to come as the revitalisation continues to unfold.
