Boroondara Library Service will scrap overdue borrowing fines from Thursday 1 July 2021. It's a fantastic community outcome from Council's latest budget.
We've seen how important our library services are to the local community, particularly during the challenges we've faced over the last year. Moving to a fine free model removes barriers and encourages returns so that everyone can enjoy our services.
We hope this will encourage library members to return and also look forward to welcoming new members to Boroondara's libraries.
