Firearms offences detected after Frankston warrant

Officers from Mornington Divisional Response Unit have charged a man with firearms offences after executing a warrant in Frankston today.

Police attended a residence on Skye Road about 8am on 24 November and arrested a man and a woman.

It is alleged that police located a drill press, lathe machine and various firearms parts including springs, stocks and barrels after executing a warrant.

A 45-year-old Frankston man has been charged with numerous offences including possess firearm parts for purpose of manufacture and breach firearm prohibition order.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.

A 42-year-old Carrum Downs woman has been charged with possess drug of dependence and has been bailed to appear at Frankston magistrates' Court at a later date.
