The Rockingham area will receive a boost in cancer support with the appointment of a new McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. Dinah Tegan will be supporting people experiencing any type of cancer.
Dinah will be based in Rockingham General Hospital, and brings the number of McGrath Cancer Care Nurses in Western Australia to 37.
With around 1 in 2 people diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and over 170,000 people diagnosed with cancer in Australia this year there is a substantial need for specialist cancer care provided by McGrath Cancer Care Nurses to support people across Australia with any type of cancer.
Ryan Barlow, McGrath Foundation CEO, said the new placement will provide free care and support for individuals and their families in the Rockingham community.

With over 15 years nursing experience and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing, Dinah Tegan passionately speaks about her appointment.

There are currently 367 McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across Australia, and 37 supporting people with cancer throughout Western Australia.
