Five separate fireworks displays to shimmer across Parramatta for NYE

The City of Parramatta will kick off 2023 with a glittering display of lights, colours and sounds as it hosts a series of local New Year's Eve fireworks displays across the City.

The outdoor events will take place in five locations, following the success of last year's program, allowing the community to stay local and enjoy celebrations close to home.

"We're preparing for another spectacular series of New Year's Eve fireworks across the City of Parramatta," City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Donna Davis said.

"Last year we trialled fireworks at five sites across the City of Parramatta and they were so successful that we've brought them back. We received such positive community feedback - it's a great opportunity to ring in the new year together with family, friends and neighbours close to home."

The family-friendly events will be held at Binalong Park in Old Toongabbie; Max Ruddock Reserve in Winston Hills; Doyle Ground in North Parramatta; Dundas Park in Dundas Valley; and George Kendall Riverside Park in Ermington. Gates will open from 5pm.

Guests can bring a picnic and enjoy live entertainment in the lead up to the fireworks at 9pm.

"New Year's Eve is one of the most popular events on our calendar. It will be a fantastic experience to watch the dazzling fireworks displays from our very own local parks," Cr Davis said.

"Numbers are limited, so I encourage everyone to book their tickets as soon as possible!"

Tickets will be staggered and go on sale at 12pm, Friday 2 December with remaining tickets released at 12pm on Monday 19 December. They cost $5 each and there is free entry for children under two years old. Each ticketholder will be given a free gift upon entry at each site.

Numbers are strictly limited to ensure the safety and wellbeing of attendees and tickets will be released in intervals.
