2026 Golden Guitar winner Lane Pittman to perfrom at PBR Australia in Townsville

Held across two huge nights at the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre, the Grand Finals will see the nation's best bull riders battle it out for Australia's most prestigious buckle, with grit, glory, guts , and now one of Australian country music's hottest young stars, all on the bill.

Raised in Tamworth, NSW, 20-year-old Pittman has gone from local stages to stadium crowds at breathtaking speed, establishing himself as one of the most exciting names in the new generation of Australian country music.

In 2025, Pittman joined Luke Combs on his Australian and New Zealand stadium tour, performing to tens of thousands of fans each night before taking home his first Golden Guitar for New Talent of the Year.

His breakout track Amen For The Weekend became one of the defining Australian country releases of the year, reaching No.1 on the Australian Country Radio Charts and earning Pittman a Golden Guitar nomination for Single of the Year.

This year, Pittman has continued that momentum with his second EP, WHAT NOW?, reaching No.3 on the ARIA Country Charts, while lead single Miss You In The Morning spent two consecutive weeks inside the Top 5 of the Australian country radio chart.

His live career has continued to grow too, including an international debut with his band at Stagecoach Festival in California, before returning home with work now underway on his debut album.

Townsville's PBR crowd is one Pittman already knows well.

"I've been going to PBR events for as long as I can remember. Being a spectator in that environment is so exciting," Pittman said. "PBR Origin I in Newcastle this year was the first event I'd been to in a while, and it was a joy. I'm keen to get my boots in the dirt in the middle of that arena in Townsville this November for the Grand Finals and bring the energy!"

PBR Australia Managing Director Glen Young said Pittman was the perfect fit for the Grand Finals atmosphere.

"Lane brings exactly the sort of energy we want at the Grand Finals; he's young, authentic, country and absolutely electric live," Young said.

"This is already the biggest weekend on the Australian bull riding calendar, and having Lane perform adds another huge layer to the experience for fans."

With the 2026 PBR Australia season already delivering sold-out arenas, massive rides and a fiercely contested national title race, fans are being urged to secure seats early for the ultimate showdown in Townsville.
