Police members patrolling as part of Operation Sentinel picked up a drink driver five times over the limit in Bell Post Hill last night.
Officers noticed a car running idle outside a Braund Avenue address with a single male occupant who appeared alcohol impaired about 9.40pm.
The 52-year-old driver returned a positive preliminary breath test before he furnished an evidentiary breath test result of 0.255.
The man’s vehicle was impounded for 28 days at a cost of $1115.
It is expected the Bell Post Hill man will be charged on summons with drink driving.
