MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KATHERINE BRIDGE AND NITMILUK CENTRE
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk and Katherine Bridge, and likely to continue Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, which includes the Katherine River.
Katherine River Gorge Road:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 4.67 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
Katherine Town:
Minor flooding is occurring at Katherine Town.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is currently at 16.29 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (16.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
