Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has started major flood recovery roadworks along Bowenville-Moola Road at Bowenville, as part of the 2024 Flood Recovery Program.
TRC Construction and Maintenance (Infrastructure Services) portfolio spokesperson, Cr Carol Taylor, said works had begun on the northern sections of the road, near Tates Road, and would continue south towards Bowenville.
"Council has started flood recovery repairs on Bowenville-Moola Road, at the northern end near the Tates Road junction, continuing south through to Bowenville State School," Cr Taylor said.
"These works will repair sections of the road that were significantly damaged by flooding."
To deliver the project as efficiently as possible, Council's Construction and Maintenance North and South Branches are working together.
"By combining the resources of both our northern and southern Construction and Maintenance teams, we can complete these important repairs with greater efficiency," Cr Taylor said.
