Council will close Florence St, between Sheridan St and Grafton St, from 1pm to 9pm on Sunday 11 December the Carols in the Park event.
The main event will be staged at Munro Martin Parklands, with live streaming at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre.
There will be food vendors on the Florence St roadway within closed section, which will also allow patrons to move safely between the two venues.
