A temporary road closure is scheduled from Monday 10 July to Wednesday 12 July, 6.30am to 3.30pm on Forest Lane, Old Bar.
The closure will affect Forest Lane from the intersection of Saltwater Road to 615 metres east of the intersection.
The three-day road closure will allow for tree clearing. This work is necessary to prepare for upcoming road improvements to take place later this year. These improvements will include widening of the road and sealing of the road surface.
"Our community has identified roads and bridges as one of the highest priorities for the area," said MidCoast Council's Director Infrastructure and Engineering Services, Rob Scott.
"Forest Lane is a main connector route for many Old Bar residents and the improvements are essential to cater for future development in the area. This work will improve safety and efficiency for road users and is part of our focus on improving local and regional roads on the MidCoast."
If travelling in the vicinity of Saltwater Road/Forest Lane, Old Bar please use extra caution and follow the directions of traffic controllers.
