Former Officer Charged - South West Metropolitan Region

A former police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged drug-related offences.

About 1.00am on Sunday 31 March 2024, police attended a licensed premises at Pyrmont following the seizure of a small plastic bag, containing what is believed to be cocaine.

Following inquiries, police identified the drug as allegedly falling from the pocket of an off-duty police officer.

The 31-year-old senior constable – who was attached to a command in the South-West Metropolitan Region – was served yesterday (Thursday 4 April 2024), with a court attendance notice for the offence of possess prohibited drug.

They will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

The officer has resigned from the New South Wales Police Force.
