Aboriginal artists, creative workers and art centre leaders from across Western Australia will gather in Kununurra on Miriwoong Country for the annual Our Business: Aboriginal Art Centre Forum.
Presented by the Aboriginal Art Centre Hub of Western Australia (AACHWA) in association with Waringarri Aboriginal Arts, the forum is being held on Miriwoong Country from today to Thursday, 24 September 2026.
Across four days, participants will take part in professional development, shared learning, practical workshops, presentations and networking tailored to the business and development needs of Aboriginal art centres.
The forum provides an important opportunity for Aboriginal artists and art centres to share knowledge, build partnerships and celebrate their work, while strengthening the long-term sustainability of the sector.
As part of the forum, the free Aboriginal Art Centre Showcase will be open to the community from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, 23 September at the Kimberley Grande Resort, highlighting how art centres create opportunities, sustain cultural knowledge and support cultural tourism.
AACHWA is a not-for-profit Aboriginal-led and governed organisation that serves as the peak body for Aboriginal art centre in Western Australia, providing advocacy and connection for Aboriginal artists and communities throughout the State.
AACHWA is supported to deliver Our Business by the WA Government through the Regional Creative Industries Fund.
