Four arrested and more than $365,000 worth of methylamphetamine seized

Detectives from the Caulfield Divisional Response Unit have arrested two men and two women after seizing approximately 400 grams of what is alleged to be methylamphetamine in Melbourne's southeast.

During two early morning search warrants at residential addresses in Clayton South, police seized:

- Approximately 400 grams of what is alleged to be methylamphetamine with an estimated street value of $365,000

- Approximately 500ml of what is alleged to be 1,4 Butanediol

- A small quantity of what is alleged to be cannabis

- A small quantity of steroids

- A small quantity of prescription drugs

- Approximately $10,000 cash

Two 33-year-old men - one from Clayton South and the other from Oakleigh South - were arrested and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine and 1,4 Butanediol, the possession of cannabis, possession of steroids, possession of prescription medication and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The Clayton South man was remanded in custody and the Oakleigh South man was bailed - both will appear before Melbourne County Court on 16 September.

Two 28-year-old Clayton South women were arrested and are expected to be charged on summons with possessing a drug of dependence and possessing proceeds of crime.

"These arrests should serve as a sobering reminder to potential drug dealers that police will not sit idle when it comes to drug crime.

"We have teams of detectives dedicated to bringing you undone and putting you before the courts where you will be facing several years in prison."
