Four Arrested in Drug Bust, S. Highlands: Strike Force

Police have charged four men over alleged illegal drug supply in the state's south yesterday.

In March 2025, officers attached to The Hume Police District established Strike Force Summertown to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Southern Highlands region.

Following inquiries, about 12.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 September 2025), strike force detectives, with the assistance from Southern Region Operations Support Group, Region Enforcement Squad, Southern High Risk Domestic Violence team, and Public Order and Riot Squad, executed seven search warrants simultaneously in Moss Vale, Bowral and Colo Vale.

An amount of cocaine, MDMA, more than $52,000 in cash, four motor vehicles along with jewellery and digital devices were allegedly located and seized which will be forensically examined.

Following further inquiries about 12.30pm two men aged 23 and 28 were arrested at a fast-food restaurant on the Hume Highway, Sutton Forest,

About 1.20pm a 29-year-old man was arrested at a home in Moss Vale.

The three men were taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where the 23-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug more than or equal to commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (two counts), supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (10 counts), knowingly deal with proceeds of crime intent to conceal, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, and possess prohibited drug.

The 28-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug more than or equal to commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (two counts), supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (13 counts), knowingly deal with proceeds of crime intent to conceal, knowingly direct activities of criminal group.

The 29-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (two counts), participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, give false etc info in relation to digital evidence access order, and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

About 3pm police arrested a 50-year-old man at a hotel on Camden Valley Way, Narellan.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug more than or equal to commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (two counts), supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (eight counts), knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime (two counts), and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

All men were refused bail and will appear at Bail Division Court 3 today (Thursday 11 September 2025).

The Hume Police District Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Benjamin Bowles said "information from the public can be a game-changer in disrupting drug syndicates. Community members often notice suspicious behaviour or patterns that might not be immediately visible to law enforcement".
