Bayside Council is set to investigate the creation of a safer, slow-street zone on Francis Avenue between Boeing Place and Henson Street following a decision at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
Following concerns raised by residents, a site visit and discussions with the local school community, the section of Francis Avenue between Bay Street and Henson Street has been identified as a priority for investigation.
Any new measures proposed for the area would need to be carefully considered, subject to community consultation, and reviewed by the Bayside Local Transport Forum.
