Free Community Vaccination Clinics Or Camden Residents

Immunisation

Camden Council, in partnership with South-Western Sydney Local Health District, are running a series of free community vaccination clinics for residents until the end of the year.

Vaccinations are free for residents who are:

• Over 50 years of age;

• Pregnant;

• Children aged between six weeks and five years old; and

• In high school.

The clinics are located at:

• Narellan Library in the Iron Bark Room, corner Elyard and Queen Streets, Narellan, between 10am and 2.30pm; and

• Camden Senior Citizens Centre, 65 John Street Camden, Camden, between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the clinics aimed to increase the uptake of routine vaccinations.

"Immunisation reduces the risk of serious illness and spread of diseases and are an important part of helping keep our community safe and healthy," she said.

"Immunisation needs vary based on a person's age, health, lifestyle and job, so we encourage all residents to speak to their healthcare professional to determine what is right for them.

"It's fantastic to be able to offer our residents ease and convenience in this space and I look forward to seeing our community take advantage of this initiative."
