Free Movie Screening

In support of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, join us for a free movie screening of Thelma on Friday 13 June at 11am at the Knox Community Arts Centre.

Come together to raise awareness, spark conversation, and enjoy this heartwarming film as we follow Thelma Post, a spirited 93-year-old widow who, after falling victim to a phone scam, embarks on a daring quest to reclaim her stolen money.

Prior to the movie, join Paul Were (Managing Lawyer at Eastern Community Legal Centre) and Ray Baird (Knox resident, elder abuse survivor and advocate) for a brief presentation.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is celebrated each year, globally, providing an opportunity for communities to stand together against the abuse, mistreatment and neglect of older people.
