Sunshine Coast Council

Ready to travel the globe, share your culture or appreciate another without leaving the Sunshine Coast?

This August, Sunshine Coast Libraries invites you to celebrate Multicultural Queensland Month through a Multicultural Meet-up, Multicultural Employment Workshops or by exploring literature in another language.

Strong Community Portfolio Councillor Taylor Bunnag said this year's theme was "One Queensland, many stories", inviting everyone to reflect on and celebrate the stories that connect us - stories of migration, culture, resilience, community and belonging.

"Our region is a diverse community, with people from many cultures choosing to call it home," Cr Bunnag said.

"Council is proud to offer a range of supports and services to help people of all backgrounds settle into life on the Sunshine Coast.

"Multicultural Queensland Month is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with local events that make everyone feel valued and welcomed.

"Taking the time to listen to stories from migrants living on the Sunshine Coast helps build a stronger, more inclusive Sunshine Coast Biosphere community and creates opportunities for new connections and friendships."
