Tasmanian families are encouraged to make the most of the upcoming winter school holidays with a wide range of free activities on offer through Libraries Tasmania.
The Libraries Tasmania winter school holiday program will run from 11 to 25 July 2026, providing children and young people across the State with opportunities to learn new skills, explore their creativity and stay connected with their local community.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said libraries continue to play an important role in supporting learning beyond the classroom and providing welcoming spaces for young Tasmanians and their families.
"Libraries Tasmania offers so many opportunities for children and young people to explore, create and connect during the school holidays," Minister Palmer said.
"This year's winter school holiday program includes the travelling science exhibition Byte Wise, which is touring southern libraries, as well as the Warm Winter Read program, encouraging young people to keep reading over the break.
"Our public libraries are vibrant community hubs, and I encourage families to take advantage of the free programs and activities available these holidays."
