The Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre (RALC) now offers a refreshed and more welcoming arrival experience, following recent upgrades to its reception desk, retail space and customer service area. The renewal has transformed the entry space, creating a modern and functional environment for the community.
The new reception area provides a contemporary workspace that improves efficiency and safety for staff while enhancing customer service delivery. The new layout better supports enquiries, memberships and program registrations, helping to streamline day-to-day operations.
The upgrade is part of broader renewal works at the facility. This includes the refurbishment of female amenities near the leisure pool, while upgrades to the male amenities are expected to be completed in October. These improvements will enhance comfort and functionality for swimmers, families and other pool users.
City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown said the upgrades reflect Council's commitment to maintaining high-quality facilities for the community.
"The RALC is a vital community hub that supports the health, wellbeing and active lifestyles of our community through recreation, fitness and learn-to-swim programs," he said.
"First impressions matter and these new upgrades to one of our most popular community facilities will create a more enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through the doors."
Council has also completed maintenance works within the leisure pool plant room as part of its ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable and high-quality facilities for the community.
