The Crisafulli Government is delivering for the Sunshine Coast with massive investment in education and training, health, housing, safety and infrastructure in the 2025-26 Budget.
The Sunshine Coast will also benefit from the Crisafulli Government's $100 Back to School Boost, the $200 Play On! Sports Vouchers program, more frontline health workers more police on the beat and new social and community housing.
2025-26 Budget lays the foundation for the fresh start Queenslanders voted for, addressing Labor's youth crime, health, housing and cost of living crises.
The Budget focuses on making Queensland safer, delivering a place to call home for more Queenslanders, driving down cost of living pressures for families, providing more free healthcare and building generational infrastructure for our growing State.
A new primary school will be delivered on the Sunshine Coast to service the growing Caloundra South Priority Development Area, as part of an $815 million new schools commitment statewide.
About 1,140 students are expected to attend the school which will open its doors to students in Prep to Year 6 in Term 1 2028.
The $70.68 million School and Education Boost funding will deliver more accessible pathways for Kuluin State School and accessibility upgrades for Woombye State School.
The Virtues Improving Relational Behaviours Education Hub in Caloundra will also receive $520,000 over 4 years to support students who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from education ensuring healthier and happier students.
A new TAFE Centre of Excellence will be built at Caloundra with a focus on construction trades to deliver generational infrastructure.
For small business owners, the Budget includes $11.5 million to extend the micro-credential courses by the University of the Sunshine Coast for 4 years, delivering courses face to face and online in priority areas of need.
For health, $1.9 million will be invested to deliver a new short-term accommodation village at endED in Woombye. The eight 'tiny homes' built on site will allow for intensive in-treatment eating disorder and mental health support.
In housing, Sunshine Coast homeless charity Roofs to Recovery will receive $2 million to buy land and build six one-bedroom homes.
The Sunshine Coast will also benefit from the Crisafulli Government's $100 Back to School Boost vouchers, the $200 Play On! Sports Vouchers program, more frontline health workers, more police on the beat and new social and community housing.
Premier David Crisafulli said the Budget delivered the foundation for a fresh start for the Sunshine Coast, just as promised.
"Today's Budget delivers the fresh start Queensland needs and Queenslanders voted for, to address the crises in youth crime, health, housing and cost of living," Premier Crisafulli said.
"We are delivering to restore safety where you live, health services when you need them, a better lifestyle through a stronger economy and a plan for Queensland's future.
"This Budget delivers cost of living relief with the $100 Back to School Boost and the $200 Play On! Sports Vouchers Program, a fully-funded Hospital Rescue Plan, a new nation-leading home ownership program to reduce the deposit gap, as well more police and early intervention to make Queensland safer."
Deputy Premier and Member for Kawana Jarrod Bleijie, said the Budget was delivering for the region.
"The Crisafulli Government's first budget delivers a record investment in critical infrastructure projects that will leave a lasting legacy on the Sunshine Coast ahead of the 2032 Games and beyond," Mr Bleijie said.
Member for Buderim Brent Mickelberg said the Crisafulli Government's first Budget delivers real outcomes for the Sunshine Coast.
"From measures to ease cost-of-living pressures to school upgrades at Mountain Creek and Palmview, as well as significant transport infrastructure, like the Mooloolah River Interchange upgrade, The Wave and improved heavy rail connections, we're building a better future for our communities across the coast," Mr Mickelberg said.
Member for Glass House Andrew Powell said the first Crisafulli Government Budget was a winner for the Sunshine Coast.
"We welcome the investment in the Woodford P- 10 State School – extending to Year 12 to enable our local students to complete their education in the electorate – and the $10 million investment in upgrades to dangerous intersections on the D'Aguilar Highway," Mr Powell said.
"As the Environment and Tourism Minister I understand the importance of enhancing our natural tourism offerings with the Maleny Dark Sky project sure to enhance our region's reputation as a must visit destination."
Member for Caloundra Kendall Morton said the Budget delivered for Caloundra.
"Whether it's major road or transport infrastructure, replacing the permanent fire and rescue station at Beerwah or establishing a new TAFE Centre of Excellence, this Budget is investing in the needs of the Caloundra community," Ms Morton said.
Member for Nicklin Marty Hunt said the Budget delivered for Nicklin.
"This Budget is about delivering real, local results - from a new Police Beat and CCTV in Nambour to funding grassroots sports clubs and upgrades to our roads, schools and health services.
"After years of being overlooked, Nicklin is finally being prioritised, and we're making up for lost time with real investment in community safety, infrastructure and everyday services.
"This is about restoring safety where we live and building a stronger and more connected Nicklin for the long term."
Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson said the Budget delivered funding to plan stages two and three of The Wave, all the way to the Sunshine Coast Airport.
"We are delivering the seamless public transport through the Maroochydore CBD and all the way to the Sunshine Coast Airport, just as we promised," Ms Simpson said.
Member for Ninderry Dan Purdie said the Budget delivered for local communities.
"We're proud to deliver $5 million for the field and clubhouse for the new AFL precinct at Coolum State School, supporting our grassroots sports and getting young people more active, as well as $25,000 for a tuckshop upgrade at Peregian Springs State School," Mr Purdie said.
