Funding for Hallidays Point and Forster projects

MidCoast Council

Development contribution funds will be released to support the delivery of projects in both Hallidays Point and Forster.

MidCoast Council resolved at the 22 March meeting to release almost $2.5 million in development contribution funds to support a range of community projects.

"Communities in Hallidays Point and Forster have identified priority projects which we will now be able to deliver," said Paul De Szell, Council's Director of Liveable Communities.

In Hallidays Point, land will be acquired for a future sporting field at Tallwoods, the Blackhead skatepark will be constructed, Blackhead sports field lighting will be upgraded and an extension to shared pathways will be completed.

In Forster the extension of the Memorial Drive and Little Street boardwalk will be progressed.

"These projects have been identified through a number of engagements and consultations with community over recent years," said Mr De Szell.
