Funding for seven creative projects

Logan City Council has unveiled the latest list of Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) recipients.
Belinda Adams has received a Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grant for professional coaching to progress the development of her memoir Bought a Bus.

Artworks, a musical, and an oral history project will be among the projects delivered by the latest recipients of support from the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

Seven recipients will share funding of $29,631, with varying amounts allocated.

RADF is a partnership between Logan City Council and the Queensland Government to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

The latest recipients are:

  • Logan City Historical Museum Society Inc for a Logan oral history project recording interviews with representatives of early local families.
  • Beenleigh Theatre Group to produce an original musical Mayhem in June for their 2024 Fringe season.
  • Shevaun Russell for an illustrated book Connect to Nature aimed at children and families.
  • Belinda Adams for professional coaching to progress the development of her memoir Bought a Bus.
  • Jake Moss for a week-long residency at Woodridge Skate Park to produce artworks and a book to document the history and use of the community space.
  • Natasha Narain for an artist residency and workshops at Logan Art Gallery to coincide with her solo show ReKalibrating Kantha on altered books in March and April.
  • Ronelle Reid for a solo exhibition at Logan Art Gallery in December 2024 and January 2025 featuring a soundscape,150 miniature paintings and workshops for children and adults.

The next RADF funding round opens at 10am on Friday, March 1 and closes at 2pm on Thursday, April 11.

Applications are invited for projects beginning Saturday, July 1.
