The generosity and hard work of passionate Australia's Biggest Morning Tea fundraisers has been recognised at a special morning tea hosted by Cancer Council WA at Crawford Lodge in Nedlands.
Cancer Council WA's CEO, Ashley Reid, said the event was an opportunity to thank and honour more than 70 fundraisers, including long-time supporters and those who have raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.
"We are so grateful to our extraordinary fundraisers who pour so much energy, love and dedication into supporting Cancer Council WA's Biggest Morning Tea year after year," Mr Reid said.
"Life is busy, and yet these incredible individuals find the time to rally their friends, families, schools, and workplaces to help us make a real difference.
The money they raise year after year makes such an impact as it allows Cancer Council WA to continue its life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support programs.
Mr Reid said this year Cancer Council WA was hoping to raise $2 million.
"The official day for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea 2026 is Thursday 21 May, however you can host a morning tea anytime between now and the end of June," he said.
"It doesn't need to be fancy – your Biggest Morning Tea could be at home with friends or family, a simple morning tea in the office with workmates, a virtual get-together, or a gathering in the local community or at school.
"Simply register online, set a date in May or June and start sending out your invites.
"All of us will be affected by cancer at some point in our lives and every dollar raised helps support West Australians impacted by cancer."
Anyone unable to host a morning tea can still get involved by donating directly to Cancer Council.
