Melton City Council has welcomed funding to support the delivery of the new Rockbank East Children's and Community Centre.
A $9 million funding boost from the Victorian Government's Building Blocks Partnerships Fund was announced by Minister for Children The Hon. Lizzie Blandthorn and Member for Kororoit The Hon. Luba Grigorovitch during a recent visit to the future site of the centre.
The new purpose-built facility will create a vibrant centre for local families, bringing together kindergarten services, Maternal and Child Health support, and flexible community spaces under one roof.
Designed to meet the needs of one of Victoria's fastest-growing communities, the centre will make it easier for families to access the services, support and connections that help children thrive during their early years.
The project is currently in the design phase, with construction expected to begin in late 2026 and the centre anticipated to welcome its first families in early 2028.
